Paul?Harris?is?the?Victor?S.?Thomas?Professor?of?Education?at?Harvard?University's?Graduate?School?of?Education?in?the?United?States.?He?has?previously?served?as?an?editorial?board?member?for?prestigious?international?journals?such?as?Child?Development?and?Human?Development.?He?is?interested?in?the?early?development?of?cognition,?emotion,?and?imagination.?His?work?explores?how?children?navigate?the?challenge?of?trusting?others'?statements?in?areas?that?are?difficult?to?observe?firsthand,?such?as?history,?science,?and?religion.?His?most?recent?book,?Trusting?What?You're?Told:?How?Children?Learn?from?Others,?was?published?by?Harvard?University?Press?in?May?2012.

保罗·哈里斯(PaulHarris),美国哈佛大学教育学院VictorS.Thomas教育教授,曾担任国际顶级期刊《儿童发展》《人类发展》等期刊编委。哈里斯教授专注于儿童认知、情感和想象力早期发展的研究。他的研究探讨了儿童如何在难以亲身观察的领域(如历史、科学和宗教)中,选择信任他人的话语。著作包括《信你所闻:儿童如何学习他人》等。

Children’s?emotion?understanding?could?predict?their?social?adaption?significantly.?In?this?talk,?Professor?Paul?Harris?will?introduce?the?development?of?emotion?understanding?in?children?based?on?the?results?of?Test?of?Emotion?Comprehension?(TEC),?and?discuss?the?extent?of?cultural?variation?in?performance.
